"Schlieren” are density variations in a gas or liquid that you can’t see with the naked eye, like air currents caused by heat, movement, or explosions.

Well this is the picture out of my 72 negatives the professor chose. Of course, it's the one I liked the least! It's actually the last I took; I realized I had to cook off a few before rewinding. UGH!

Photography 101 Update

My film class is going well. This week we developed our first rolls of film ourselves and made a test print to determine the exposure on the enlarger. Here is mine at 5 second intervals. My starting point was determined to be 10 seconds with a +2 filter.
