Button Your Eyes: Creepy Self-Portraits

You know that new movie where the little girl gets trapped by creepy imposter parents with buttons for eyes? Scary, right?

Creating the perfect postcard
Since joining postcrossing I have had numerous requests for postcards with "local flavor." So, after a week of thinking about what's typical of the Cleveland, OH area and watching the "Holiday in 8 Pictures" uTube a half dozen times I decided to do a series of self made professionally printed Cleveland in eight postcards over the next year.
This is the first card in this series. It's yours truely along with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at night all lit up.

My 365: D90 Returns Fixed From Nikon
My Nikon D90 returned today via UPS next day air. It's good to have it home and working once again. They only had to put in a whole new apeture assembly and adjust the mirror angle. Seems a pretty extensive fix for a camera so new. I hope this isn't something defective in all the Nikon D90's.

This is my last picture for now taken with my backup! I have the Nikon D90 back in hard albeit a lot heavier than the D60 and I plan on giving it a work out as the next snow storm hits early Wednesday morning.

My D90 Camera Arrive at Nikon Servicing Today
The Nikon D90 is at the service center and logged in. Lucky for me its under warranty. I wonder if they will ever say what the issue is or if this is an issue a lot D90 ownwers are having.

I hope this experience doesn't color my opinion of Nikon and my Nikon D90 camera. I have been using the Nikon D60 as a backup and I actually like it better. It's lighter and I have no problems with it at all yet; even in the cold.

Nikon Tutorial: Holiday in 8 Photos
I'll be going on vacation on March 1st to Sarasota, Starke, and Jacksonville, Florida. I plan on doing several challenges while I am there and hope to employ the holiday in eight pictures technique for each main stop.

My 365: Trying out Pentax's 7 Recommended Settings
This came in a free ad book from Pentax and I decided to try them out today with the Nikon D60. My Nikon D90 has already left for servicing after just 6 weeks of ownership. I started having serious trouble with that "err" code after four weeks and it cost me a lot great candid shots.
I am happy to say that I am satisfied with the Nikon D60 as a backup camera. I was shocked that after just a few weeks I'm already to the point I can't be without a DSlR camera -- the Casio while it’s easy to carry like a concealed weapon in my purse, the pictures are lacking the clarity I have quickly become accustomed to.

These pictures were taken with the Pentax suggested setting on the Nikon D60 DSLR camera.I noticed that they are date and time stamped as being yesterday at 9 pm. So my next mission is to figure out how to set the time correctly.
